Password Protecting Collections

You can password protect collections within Picasa.  Your files will still be visible in Windows, but they will be not be accessible in Picasa.

To add a password:

1. Right-click the name of the collection that you want to protect, and choose Add / Change a Password.

2. Enter your password and click OK.  Confirm your password.  

3. Close your collection. It can no longer be opened in Picasa without entering the password.

To change a password:

1. With the collection open, right-click and choose Add / Change a Password

2. Enter your new password and click OK.  Your collection can no longer be opened in Picasa without entering the new password.

3. Close your collection. It can no longer be opened in Picasa without entering the new password.

To remove a password:

1. Follow the steps above to change a password.

2. When you are prompted to enter a new password, hit enter instead of typing a password.

3. Open and close your collection. Your password is now removed.
